Local Boy Receives Donation From Pssa Snow Angels

Southern Potter Snowmobile Club President John Fox presented two checks on March 4 to the family of Shawn Glover of Austin, Pa on the behalf of their son Jacob to help defray medical expenses and traveling cost from the Pssa Snow Angels and Southern Potter Snowmobile Club.
Jacob was born on July 1, 2011 at 31 weeks with a unilateral complete cleft lip on his right side, a bilateral complete palate and hemi facial microsemia. Jacob has already endured surgeries at 3 months, 7 months, and 16 months to repair a lip adhesion, his lip and nose, and his palate. Jacob also has some more surgeries in the near future. He is looking at around the age of three he will have another lip and nose revision and ear and jaw repaired. Then hopefully he will not have another surgery until he is around 7 years of age to repair his Gum ridge. They have also begun to remove his teeth and save the ones they can. Then on top of all this, his father is also battling throat cancer, where they had to remove Shawn’s voice box because of a cancerous tumor.
We here at the Southern Potter Snowmobile Club would like to take a minute to thank the Pssa Snow Angels Fund for helping Jacob. We know there are some very good people on this committee that do excellent work for the many kids that need their help, which is not an easy job to do. So with that said PLEASE help this fund in any way you can either by buying one of their raffle tickets or just by donating so they can keep helping the kids that truly need their help.
