My apology to Ken Walther for not seeing his message. Six club members are working on the First Fork bridge this morning - painting and placing Sacrete around the base. I'll try to do a better job of announcing the work details in August to give everyone an idea of where we will be working.

arrived at camp on fridat the 7th during a snow squall. got about 4-5" on top near Cherry Springs but it turned to rain and sleet on and off all day saturday. then on saturday night it snowed about three inches on top. we left Cherry Springs about 9am and headad to Crossforks but the snow got a little thin on the lower elevations so we cut back on Windfall road to mc connell road to Wharton and then up Nelson run to Ridge road and then over to Potato city. Only two sleds there so we headad to the PCSC club house and the riding over there wad really good with plenty of snow but the clubhouse was closed so back to Cherry Springs around 2pm and 90 miles later. All in all it was a great Sunday ride and we only saw two other sleds on the trail. Also the week of 2/23-2/29 my wife and i went to Canada on a tour and put on 831 miles in six days. Will see you all next season

I apologize for no snow update last weekend. I had to go down state on short notice. The snow is very thin and the riding may be done unless we can get one more storm. The February calendar winners are now listed. In addition, don't forget our next club meeting scheduled for this coming Thursday, March 20th at 7:30 PM, Schumacher's restaurant. Nomination of officers will be held! Please attend.

Any snow left from last weekend? Are they calling for any accumulation in the next couple of days? Thanks for the update.

To all members we would like to thank Southern York County Snowpackers for sending our club a $100 donation. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Snow Nirvana. That is the only way I could describe yesterday's ride. We got 5" of powder in the valley and twice that on top. Most of the trails were in great condition until late in the afternoon when the traffic made it wavy. I didn't see any groomers out on Ridge Road so if someone knows other wise, please let us know. Rain is forecasted for tomorrow so this may be the last unless we get a freak snowstorm before the end of the month.

We had sun today but temps ranged between 4 degrees this morning to 21 degrees this afternoon. NOAA is forecasting 3-5 additional inches of snow tomorrow so that should definately help the trails. Hope to see you this weekend and ride SAFE!

Dave and I rode 80 miles today from Costello to Sylvania Diner and back. We got the low end of the snow totals that the forecasters predicted but it was enough to repair some of the sun damage. I measured 3-4 inches in the valley and 6-10 inches on top. Schoolhouse is very thin due to last weekend's traffic. Other trail conditions vary from plowed and hard packed to fluffy to groomed to bumpy. DCNR began grooming this afternoon around Denton Hill. Provided that we don't get any sun before the weekend, the snow should hold.

how much snow did you all get

Cindy Pavelosky said:   February 26, 2008 1:47 pm PST
By now everyone knows that we are getting snow. I'd rather wait until tomorrow after the snow stops to provide a trail report. We had a lot of sun this past Sunday and Monday which melted a lot of the feeder trails.

WEBSITE UPDATES COMPLETED! Well, I finally figured out how to get the Calender Winners up on the page. You can view them monthly on the Minutes/Calender Winners page. All the advertisements are now up and working as well. We weren't able to add the menus due to size restrictions. Hope everyone likes it!

Kenny the riding will be much better with the 6-12 inches they are calling for tonight.....now mind you that is what the weather channel is saying--since I however am not a good judgement of inches....! :-)

Look at the bright side Kenny, the fact we had to replace the wearbars on "Danny's" sled gave you ample time to put in nine dollars and TWELVE cents of gas into yours!

It's a little late for a snow report but we didn't recieve any measurable snow until late this afternoon. Currently there is 4" in the valley and a little more on top. I hope to ride tomorrow to see just how good the trails are. I'll have the dice run winners before the end of the weekend.
